The GNPCC Foundation is a 501,c, 3 organization that was created to assist residents of the area served by the Greater Northeast Chamber of Commerce. The scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who are planning to attend an accredited educational institution. The program is also open to those who are currently employed and are planning to further their education.

Created in 2006, the Foundation founders felt that it was in the best interest of Northeast Philadelphia to promote the educational goals of the residents of the area with the hope that they would stay in the Philadelphia region and contribute to the over all economic and social growth of the region.

The Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to improving the business environment in the Northeast and throughout the City of Philadelphia and the founders hoped that a scholarship program would assist in that mission.

Currently the Foundation has been able to offer sixteen $1,000 scholarships to qualified applicants.

The Foundation is governed by a group of volunteer leaders and board members from area businesses, education institutions and non-profit organizations.
