The GNPCC Foundation held its third annual Scholarship Award Dinner Ceremony on June 22, 2009, at Glen Foerd on the Delaware. The event honored eight $1,000 scholarship recipients.

The 2009 GNPCC Foundation scholarship recipients were Tara Innamorato, Megan Doran, Erin McCarthy, Emily McMonagle, Jamie Schackles, Felicia Rivera, Sean Conroy, and Christine Kirlin.

The GNPCC Foundation offers scholarships to those qualified students who live in the area served by the GNPCC and who are attending accredited educational institutions. All eight scholarship recipients possessed GPAs of 3.5 or higher.

GNPCC Foundation Chairperson Rosemarie McMenamin, Vice President business development at 3rd Federal Bank and GNPCC Foundation President and GNPCC President, Al Taubenberger presented the scholarship awards. Al Taubenberger noted, “These eight college students earned these scholarships, and the GNPCC Foundation is pleased to be a part of their future and their education. We hope that through their awards they will remember to help the next generation.”

The Scholarship Selection Committee consisted of: Dr. Trudy Brown; Meaghan Crawford, Holy Family University; and Kathy Mulray, Director, Community College of Philadelphia.

Rosemarie McMenamin extended a special thank you to WOMENforward, Collette McBratney & Jennifer Berwick, for their tremendous fundraising efforts, and thanks to all of the GNPCC members who make these scholarships possible, and whose contributions insure the future of this program.
