Teatime at the Mansion
Teatime with Purpose—Holiday Reflections WomenForward helps raise funds for GNPCC Foundation educational scholarships
On Friday, December 5, 2008, over 130 ladies experienced the pleasures of afternoon tea. The historic Glen Foerd Mansion provided the perfect back drop for this fashionable event. The guests enjoyed bidding on silent auction items while being serenaded by St. Hubert’s HS Musical ensemble.
The ladies were seated at round tables—decked out in holiday style. The amaryllis centerpieces, given by Sally’s Flowers, added color and flair to each table. Our guests raved about the menu from salad to sandwiches to dessert buffet—all looked and tasted terrific! To reinforce the Reflections theme, each guest received a velvet sac with a mirror inside.
Our afternoon program included soloist, Teresa Desiato and keynote speaker Susan Barnett, CBS 3 Eyewitness News Co-Anchor. Susan profiled her top five most influential women. Her list included: Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, Sarah Palin, and Ann Mahlum. Atop the list—each lady in the room. Susan referred to the keepsake mirror—telling the ladies to look in the mirror and see THE top influential woman!
The music, message and menu proved meaningful and memorable. WomenForward is committed to celebrating the creativity, strength, leadership and humor women bring to their families, communities, businesses and the world! We welcome your feedback. We appreciate your support.
